The KEF R11 Meta is the largest three-way floorstanding speaker in the R Series, designed to deliver a breathtaking listening experience. Its 12th Generation Uni-Q® driver array with MAT™ and four 165 mm hybrid aluminium bass drivers reveal the subtle details of a recording while delivering exceptional power, speed and agility.

12th Generation Uni-Q® with MAT™

The Uni-Q® driver array acts as a single point source, dispersing sound more evenly throughout the room. This reduces the limitations of a narrow listening sweet spot, allowing listeners in different positions to enjoy the same natural and detailed sound.

Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT™) absorbs 99% of the unwanted sound radiating from the rear of the driver. By reducing the resulting distortion, it enables purer, cleaner and more natural sound reproduction.

Shadow Flare for Greater Detail

Derived from The Reference, Shadow Flare helps reduce harmful high-frequency cabinet diffraction. Its carefully profiled transition extends the waveguide effect of Uni-Q®, allowing treble to escape naturally and improving the reproduction of fine detail.

Powerful and Precisely Controlled Bass

The four 165 mm bass drivers feature a two-part structure with a shallow concave aluminium skin positioned over a paper cone. The stiffness of the construction and its carefully developed geometry promote piston-like movement for impressive speed, impact and precision.

An optimised motor system creates a broad and uniform magnetic field for powerful, controlled bass. Flexible port walls, developed using computational fluid dynamics, delay the onset of turbulence and help prevent port resonances from colouring the midrange.

Performance-Critical Cabinet Damping

The R Series uses constrained layer damping with internal braces connected through a lossy interface. This material converts unwanted vibration into heat, helping the cabinet remain acoustically neutral so that the drive units can perform with greater clarity and accuracy.

Dedicated Microfibre Grilles

R11 Meta is engineered to perform with or without its grilles. The dedicated multilayer microfibre grilles have a suede-like finish and use precision-cut openings to preserve acoustic performance when the drivers are covered. Magnetic fixings provide a secure and accurate fit while maintaining the clean styling of the R Series.
