NAD – High-Fidelity Engineering Focused on What Matters

NAD (New Acoustic Dimension) has been redefining high-fidelity audio since 1972 by proving that exceptional sound does not require unnecessary complexity or excessive cost. Founded by a group of European Hi-Fi specialists together with Marty Borish and engineer Bjørn Erik Edvardsen, NAD was built around a simple philosophy: every design decision should serve musical performance and nothing else. NAD gained worldwide recognition with the introduction of the legendary NAD 3020 integrated amplifier. Despite its modest specifications on paper, it outperformed many far more expensive competitors and became the best-selling Hi-Fi amplifier in history. The 3020 established NAD's reputation for delivering genuine performance and value rather than marketing-driven specifications.

Innovation has always been central to the NAD philosophy. The company introduced Modular Design Construction (MDC), allowing compatible components to be upgraded instead of replaced, followed by technologies such as HybridDigital, DirectDigital, and seamless integration with the BluOS multi-room streaming platform. Many current models also incorporate Dirac Live room correction for highly accurate system optimisation. 

Today, NAD is headquartered in Canada as part of the Lenbrook Group and continues to develop stereo amplifiers, network audio components, and home theatre electronics recognised for their engineering, long-term value, and faithful music reproduction. More than fifty years after its founding, NAD remains one of the world's most respected names in Hi-Fi.
