The KEF R3 Meta redefines the performance of bookshelf speakers. It is a true three-way design that shares the same drivers as the range-topping R11 Meta. A 12th Generation Uni-Q® driver array with MAT™ and a powerful 165 mm hybrid aluminium bass driver combine to deliver exceptional detail, accuracy and dynamics.

12th Generation Uni-Q® with MAT™

The Uni-Q® driver array acts as a single point source, dispersing sound more evenly throughout the room. This reduces the limitations of a narrow listening sweet spot, allowing more listeners to experience the same natural and detailed sound.

Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT™) uses a complex maze-like structure to absorb 99% of the unwanted sound radiating from the rear of the driver. By eliminating the resulting distortion, it enables purer, cleaner and more natural sound reproduction.

Powerful and Accurate Bass

The 165 mm hybrid aluminium bass driver features a two-part structure comprising a shallow concave aluminium skin over a paper cone. The stiffness of this construction, combined with the cone's carefully developed geometry, promotes piston-like movement for impressive punch, speed and precision.

The driver's magnet system creates a broad and uniform magnetic field, producing bass that is powerful, impactful and carefully controlled.

Versatile for Stereo and Home Theatre

R3 Meta is equally suited to a high-quality stereo system or an immersive home theatre setup using matching R Series models. Its true three-way design provides precise reproduction of high, midrange and low frequencies for both music and movies.

Dedicated Microfibre Grilles

R3 Meta is engineered to perform with or without its grilles. The dedicated multilayer microfibre grilles have a suede-like feel, while 1,801 precision-cut holes for each driver help preserve acoustic performance when the drivers are covered. Magnetic fixings provide a secure and accurate fit while maintaining the clean styling of the R Series.
