A new reference for Acoustic Energy

The Corinium is Acoustic Energy's flagship loudspeaker, created following a three-year clean-sheet design project. Every aspect of the loudspeaker – from the drive units and crossover to the cabinet construction – was developed from the ground up to establish a new benchmark for the company's highest level of performance.

Purpose-designed drive units

Corinium introduces an all-new 29 mm soft dome tweeter, developed using a diaphragm material lighter than carbon fibre to improve transient response, reduce coloration and reveal the finest musical detail.

At the heart of the system is a 120 mm carbon fibre midrange driver, covering five octaves where most musical information resides. It works alongside two newly developed 140 mm carbon fibre bass drivers, engineered specifically for Corinium to deliver deep, controlled and natural low-frequency performance.

Precision crossover design

The crossover has been engineered to achieve precise phase alignment and seamless integration between all drive units. This ensures a coherent soundstage with accurate imaging, natural vocals and realistic instrumental timbre.

Advanced RSC cabinet

All drive units are housed within Acoustic Energy's Resonance Suppression Composite (RSC) cabinet. The curved enclosure varies from 22 mm to 50 mm in wall thickness to minimise resonance, while a 6 mm aluminium front baffle provides an exceptionally rigid mounting platform. A 4° rearward cabinet tilt further improves time alignment at the listening position.

Designed for musical realism

Corinium combines the precision and imaging of a standmount loudspeaker with the scale, authority and dynamics of a floorstanding design. Every engineering decision was made with one objective: to reproduce music with the greatest possible realism, transparency and emotional involvement.
