Fiio Warmer R2R Tube DAC

The FiiO WARMER R2R is a fully balanced R2R Tube DAC/Amp that blends state-of-the-art digital conversion with the unmistakable glow of tubes. At its core, the WARMER R2R uses FiiO’s proprietary four-way, fully differential 24-bit R2R resistor-array DAC—192 high-precision thin-film resistors engineered for ultra-low drift and consistent linearity. This architecture gives the WARMER R2R its uniquely natural, analog-like presentation and a captivating, musical sound signature.

To enrich timbre and add organic harmonic texture, the WARMER R2R employs a tube buffer based on four JJ Electronic E88CC valves (Slovakia). The optimized buffer stage runs from a ±28 V supply and is tuned to deliver that sweet, warm tube flavor without sacrificing resolution or control.

Connectivity is comprehensive for real-world systems: USB, optical, and coaxial digital inputs let you hook up computers, consoles, streamers and players with ease, while RCA and balanced XLR line outputs integrate the WARMER R2R into amps, powered speakers and studio chains. A handy UAC 1.0/2.0 toggle ensures wide device compatibility (including consoles), and NOS/OS modes let you choose between bit-perfect non-oversampling playback or global oversampling up to 384 kHz for a cleaner, more detailed presentation.

Power is the foundation of performance, so FiiO equips the WARMER R2R with a 46 W low-noise linear power supply using a toroidal transformer—designed for low ripple, high efficiency and a stable magnetic field. The result is a darker background, excellent SNR and pristine dynamics. A pair of extra-large LED-backlit analog VU meters not only recalls classic Hi-Fi, but also provides at-a-glance level feedback as your music comes alive.

The chassis follows FiiO’s minimalist vintage aesthetic with practical thermal design: the grille pattern accelerates heat dissipation, ensuring the WARMER R2R delivers reliable high-quality audio for years.
