Marantz CINEMA 70s SERIES 2 Slimline AV Receiver

Marantz CINEMA 70s SERIES 2 is a slimline 7.2-channel AV receiver designed to deliver immersive home cinema and high-quality music performance from a compact chassis. Seven channels of amplification deliver 50 watts per channel, while Dolby Atmos and DTS:X provide immersive surround sound for movies, television and gaming.

SERIES 2 introduces an upgraded 32-bit 8-channel DAC, combined with Marantz HDAM-SA2 technology and Current Feedback topology. CINEMA 70s SERIES 2 also offers 8K HDMI connectivity, HEOS™ Built-in, Audyssey MultEQ XT room correction and Dirac Live upgradability.

Slimline Design

One of the defining features of CINEMA 70s SERIES 2 is its slimline chassis. Its low-profile design makes it easier to integrate a fully featured multichannel AV receiver into spaces where a conventional full-size home cinema receiver may be difficult to accommodate.

Despite its compact dimensions, CINEMA 70s SERIES 2 provides seven channels of amplification and extensive connectivity for modern home entertainment systems.

Upgraded 32-bit 8-Channel DAC

CINEMA 70s SERIES 2 features an upgraded high-performance 32-bit 8-channel DAC, designed to enhance clarity, resolution and dynamic range across movies, music and other content.

Marantz HDAM-SA2 technology, Current Feedback topology and carefully selected components complement the receiver's audio architecture. Like other CINEMA Series models, CINEMA 70s SERIES 2 is meticulously tuned by Marantz Sound Masters.

Dolby Atmos and DTS:X

Dolby Atmos and DTS:X provide immersive surround sound with a greater sense of height and space. CINEMA 70s SERIES 2 also supports Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization and DTS Virtual:X.

Seven integrated power amplifier channels provide flexibility for a range of multichannel loudspeaker configurations.

Audyssey MultEQ XT and Dirac Live

Audyssey MultEQ XT room correction uses a measurement microphone to analyse the loudspeakers and acoustic characteristics of the listening environment, helping optimise system performance for the room.

CINEMA 70s SERIES 2 is also Dirac Live upgradeable, providing an additional room correction option.

8K HDMI Connectivity

The receiver features six HDMI inputs, including three with 8K capability. It supports 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz video signals together with eARC.

HDR, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, HLG and Dynamic HDR are supported, while gaming technologies include VRR, ALLM, QFT and AMD FreeSync.

HEOS™ Built-in

With HEOS™ Built-in, CINEMA 70s SERIES 2 provides wireless music streaming and can be integrated with compatible HEOS devices for multi-room audio.

Supported services and technologies include AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect and Qobuz Connect. The receiver is also Roon Ready and supports high-resolution music playback.

Flexible Connectivity

Alongside HDMI, CINEMA 70s SERIES 2 provides analogue and digital audio inputs, an MM Phono input, USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. Bluetooth retransmission also allows audio to be sent to compatible wireless headphones.

7.2-channel pre-outs provide flexibility for adding external power amplifiers, while dual subwoofer outputs support expanded low-frequency system configurations.
