Acoustic Energy AE2 40th Anniversary is a highly exclusive, limited-production loudspeaker created to celebrate four decades of Acoustic Energy innovation. Inspired by the legendary AE2 Signature from the 1990s, it combines the heritage of the original with the latest acoustic engineering developed for the award-winning AE1 40th Anniversary Edition.
Designed for demanding audiophiles, the AE2 40th Anniversary delivers greater bass extension, increased dynamic headroom and exceptional transparency while preserving the engaging musical character that made the original AE2 so highly respected.
New Generation Drive Units
The AE2 40th Anniversary incorporates the same newly developed drive units introduced in the AE1 40th Anniversary Edition. A 29 mm anodised aluminium dome tweeter works together with two 125 mm hard anodised aluminium mid/bass drivers to produce outstanding detail, speed and accuracy.
The larger cabinet volume and dual mid/bass driver configuration provide deeper bass extension, greater output capability and reduced midrange distortion, resulting in a more transparent and effortless listening experience.
Advanced RSC™ Cabinet Technology
The cabinet utilises Acoustic Energy's advanced RSC™ (Resonance Suppression Composite) construction, combining high-density HDF panels, constrained bitumen layers, internal bracing and strategically positioned steel plates to minimise cabinet resonance and colouration.
This sophisticated enclosure design allows the drive units to perform with exceptional precision while maintaining the natural tonal balance and low distortion expected from a reference-quality loudspeaker.
Designed for Pure Musical Enjoyment
Like the AE1 40th Anniversary, the AE2 employs a minimalist low-order crossover designed to prioritise musical performance over laboratory specifications. The result is a fast, lively and highly engaging presentation that brings recordings to life with impressive realism.
